Good news at last!

Well, it has finally happened...
Mom is coming home (although I do worry about the weather, with all the snow and stuff I wonder if Ken is going to be ok driving about...he may be a good driver but even good drivers have accidents.) and it means I can go home....

Can you guess what I have missed the most all the time I have been at moms?

My bed!

Yes, as daft as it may sound, the thing I miss the most currently is my own best, which is kinda odd for me...you see, usually I can sleep anywhere (well grab a respectable 4-5 hours anyways when I am tired) but while I have been here I have been lucky to get 3 hours. Maybe it is the situation in general that is keeping me awake at night, wondering if everything is going to work out ok, is the family ok in general, is Gypsy (mom's dog) ok are all the bills done right and so on as wellas thinking about all my bills I needed to pay out too (and yesterday's incident with the DWP was not much of a help add ing to the stress!).

All I know is I feel like I'm gonna sleep for a week when I get home, so if there are no entries for a while you now know why!

Some sleep would be nice...

"Sleep, those little slices of death; Oh how I loathe them" - Edgar Allan Poe

Loathe them? More like envy them at the moment!!

I have had issues with sleep for a long time, but recently it has got beyond a joke. I'm so tired at the moment...why does this have to happen?

I went to bed last night at 2200 and felt really tired and I hoped that I'd actually sleep...

WRONG!

I woke up at 0045 and stayed wide awake, it's driving me nuts!

Mom update...and other stuff.

Mom has been in hospital for a while. She was diagnosed with lung cancer shortly before Christmas and to say it turns things upside down would be a little bit of an understatement. She has 1/3 of her lung removed a few weeks ago and due to complications has gone back in...the complication being district nurses not knowing thier job. They reckon she should be out in a few days though, which is kinda nice. I really miss mom, she really means the World to me, but the main thing is while she is in hospital she should be ok, she is in a safe place.

I bought some more DVDs for my collection this weekend just gone...
  • Kung Fu Season 2 - I love this series, and now I have the full set! Got it for £6 in my local CEX store, which is cool.
  • ECW: Extreme Rules - I like watching wrestling (I really wish I could get cable in my area, but the cable company said they were putting it in in April...they said that in 2006!) and as I do not get to watch it that much on TV I have quite a few DVDs to fuel my addiction! Usually costs £20, I got this for £8.
  • Paddington Bear: The Complete Original Series - I love cult childrens TV...if you look at my collection (head on over to http://www.invelos.com/dvdcollection.aspx/Yamerias to have a look at my 900+ strong collection) among the horror, wrestling and extreme sports DVDs you will find a lot of animation and cult kids TV classics! Paddington is brilliant, and so I picked up this boxset, which has 5 DVDs housed in a case shaped like Paddington's suitcase!
I finally got some sleep yesterday after crashing out in the afternoon, the only problem with that was that I wasn't tired in the evening! I went to bed at Midnight and woke up at 0430...it looks like I'm not going to get a good night's sleep for a while, probably when I go home when mom comes back.
