I'm happy..and I have more WWE DVDs!

Well, the weekend wasn't too bad, I was able to get a DVD boxset I was after for a while for £10 (technically), I saw Cuddle Bunny at work twice (and bless her she was being a little trooper going in early even though she felt unwell!) and things seem to be generally good!

I have got more (yes...MORE!!!) DVDs for my collection...I bought 3 and Cuddle Bunny got me another WWE DVD set for my collection, bless her! I have added the following to my collection:
  • WWE Hell In A Cell - I'm currently watching this while I'm typing this entry (I have a lot of DVDs to get through, with all the ones I got last week and these new ones!) and Cuddle Bunny got me this present while we were in town on Friday...I was kinda speechless that she got me Starrcade, but this as well! Cuddle Bunny got a little annoyed that I was kinda umming and ahhing about it and asking if she was sure, but I feel kinda odd people buying me things, although I'll go grab something for someone like a shot without a second though...wierd huh? Anyways, this set is some of the best Hell in a Cell matches in the WWE hosted by Hardcore Legend Mick Foley....and so far it bloody (literally) brilliant!
  • The Best Of WWE Raw 15th Anniversary - Now this is a seriously cool set. This is a 4DVD set (Well, 3DVD set with a Bonus DVD, more on that later) which chronicles 15 years of the WWF/WWE show Raw. It shows some of the highlights over the 15 years of the show and some of the interesting mateches too. This is a 3DVD set, but it also contains a Bonus DVD which has the very first episode of Raw. This is a seriously cool set, but what made it even better was that I only paid £10 for it because I got £20 of HMV vouchers in the post that morning!
  • WWE Backlash 2008 - I was in town yesterday seeing my beautiful Cuddle Bunny and before I went home I decided to have a quick look in HMV to see if they had any more DVD bargains I'd be interested and I was not disappointed! They had this in there for £4!!
  • WWE Live In The UK April 2008 - this DVD is part of the WrestleMania Revenge Tour and has episodes of Raw, ECW and SmackDown in London. Again, another bargain as this was also £4!

They also had WrestleMania 24 for £7! This would have been really cool if I had not already got my copy (I got the steel tin edition direct from Silvervision). Speaking of WrestleMania, the biggest Sports Entertainment events ever is this Sunday (and I can't get to see it...boo!) and SilverVision is open for pre-orders of WrestleMania 25, which is on DVD and BluRay in June (birthday present from me...to me!)....no steel tin edition available this year, but a book comes with it instead!

Things have been so good recently....I'm.....happy. I've not been this happy in a very long time, if at all ever, and I seriously think it is getting back together with Cuddle Bunny that has done it! I'm meeting up with her tomorrow, and it just brightens up my day just to see her, I love her so so much.

Oh what a perfect day...

Today has been a good day...

I have spent the day with my lovely Cuddle Bunny (well, she's not mine, she is not a piece of property, but you know what I mean!) and things went quite well. We did some shopping, went to hers for lunch (and she fell asleep, bless her!) and then went back into town and did more shopping and grabbed a pizza.

I got my darling a couple gifts today...I bought her a Tinkerbell game for her DS and I also got her a Winnie The Pooh breakfast set (Mug, Plate, Knife/Spreader, Toast Stamp and chocolate egg)...and bless her she got me a DVD which was really nice (and I also got to watch this one!).

As well as the DVD Cuddle Bunny got me, I was also able to get hold of 2 wrestling DVDs that were really cool for my collection, so here are the latest additions to my collection:
  • Hollywood Hulk Hogan: Hulk Still Rules - I've been looking out for this for a while now so when I saw this for £10 in my local CEX I knew it was something I had to get!
  • Wrestling's Most Incredible Steel Cage Matches - A 2DVD set with loads of cage matches, all good stuff! Again, I was able to pick this up for £10 at my local CEX.
  • Starrcade: The Essential Collection - I have been a fan of wrestling for years and loved watching WCW, ECW and WWF/E and was gutted when WCW finished after WWF bought it (you cannot say the "invasion" was really WCW, that was just a way of intergrating WCW wrestlers into WWF if the fans liked them). I have always hankered after a WCW DVD (I have never seen one released anywhere before WWF bought them, if anyone knows otherwise please give me details!) so when I heard that there was going to be a "best of" Starrcade I knew I had to have a copy! What made this even cooler is my precious Cuddle Bunny got this for me!

I have also heard some interesting rumours that there is going to be a DVD called "The Rise + Fall Of WCW" DVD which I think would be facinating. I know one thing I'd love to see is some of the old WCW and ECW PPVs...if they can sell the old WWF/E PPVs and shows why not WCW and ECW? I'm fairly sure they would sell quite well....

So yes....today has been a brilliant day....I've not had a day as good as this in a very long time, thankyou Cuddle Bunny, you are the best....mwah!

Well, it's been a couple of weeks roughly since I uploaded the blog of The Fat Bloke, so I guess I should say what is going on in this crazy place...

Amy, my sister, is pregnant! She sent me a text this morning (Saying HELLO UNCLE SAIRE....I bloody hate being called uncle!) and then called me up and it would appear that she is 5 weeks gone. She is off to the doctors today and I should have some more details later. Jamie (Amy's fiancee) was so shocked he almost walked in front of a bus!

Things are going well between me and Cuddle Bunny...I really love her a lot, and I'm happy to say it looks like the feelings are mutual! Hopefully we are going out for the day tomorrow but Cuddle Bunny has been feeling a little poorly so it may not happen as yet.

Apparently, I apologise too much. To be honest I had never really realised this (there again I guess you would not unless someone pointed it out to you. Cuddle Bunny has currently taken it upon herself to slap me (and not exactly gently either...she gonna hurt herself if she not careful!) if I even begin to apologise! I guess it is down to the fact I'm always scared that I am screwing things up, I have had to say sorry for so many wrongs in my past I guess it has almost become second nature that everything I do IS wrong so I have to apologise.

I'm annoyed with Twitter...I am unable to send messages via SMS or via mobile internet on my phone! I have a Nokia N70 (yeah, an oldish phone I guess) and it is on the O2 network...has anyone else got issues with Twitter and the O2 network?
Oh well, at least I can do status updates to Facebook...

I have some more DVDs to add to my humble collection, and all of them were quite well priced too....
  • The Golden Compass 2DVD - I was curious about this movie when it hit the cinema, but wasn't sure if I wanted to go and see it. I was able to grab this for £7, which seemed quite reasonable and it's not too bad a movie! I look forward to seeing the other books made into movies in the future.
  • Al Murray's Happy Hour Season 1 - I am a huge fan of Al Murray (better known as The Pub Landlord) and have been lucky enough to have 2DVDs signed by him. I was looking in HMV and saw this for £3! This is great as I'm sure it is supposed to be about £20! Great bargain and some great laughs.
  • The Eye (Lenticular Sleeve) - Ah yes, nothing like a bit of horror...I think this is yet another based on Japanese horror, but don't quote me on that! It was nice to be able to get hold of the lenticular sleeved edition too, where a hand "crawls" out of the eye! This cost me £5.
  • WWE Judgment Day 2008 - Again in HMV they were selling this for £4, not bad when the average price is usually £15 for wrestling PPV DVDs (barring WrestleMania which is just a hige boxset each time!)

I was also kinda gutted too, I was able to get hold of The Rock: The Most Electrifying Man In Sports Entertainment 3DVD set a while back for £8 (which I thought was an excellent bargain) and I saw this in HMV...reduced from £30 to £3!!! I am going to have to keep an eye on the wrestling DVDs there because they seem to be dropping to silly prices now and then.

It's Cuddle Bunny's birthday on 9th May, and sadly she will be in Wales then (on her way to Ireland for a week with her folks) and she said I had to get her present early (charming!) and when I asked her what she wanted she said "surprise me"...aw man, does she realise what she has let herself in for?

A really REALLY cool game has been launched for the PS3 and PS2...SingStar Queen! anyone who knows me well know that I think that Queen (before Freddie tragically passed away) are the best thing before during and since sliced bread, I have been a fan as far back as I can remember (mind you that does not say a lot when I have problems with my memory) and when Sony announced this I thought it was amazing! The game was released 20th March (along with the eagarly awaited wireless microphones) and I hope to grab myself a copy next week...I hope the neighbours windows are insured and/or reinforced!

Good manners at work (Joke)

It has been brought to management's attention that some individuals throughout the company have been using foul language during the course of normal conversation with their colleagues. Due to complaints received from some employees who may be easily offended, this type of language will no longer be tolerated. We do, however, realise the critical importance of being able to accurately express your feelings when communicating with colleagues. Therefore, a list of 13 New and Innovative 'TRY SAYING' phrases has been provided so that proper exchange of ideas and information can continue in an effective manner.

1.Try Saying:I think you could do with more training
Instead Of:You don't have a f***ing clue, do you?

2.Try Saying:She's an aggressive go-getter .
Instead Of:She's a f***ing power-crazy b*tch

3.Try Saying:Perhaps I can work late
Instead Of:And when the f*** do you expect me to do this?

4.Try Saying:I'm certain that isn't feasible
Instead Of:F*** off a*se-hole

5.Try Saying:Really?
Instead Of:Well f*** me backwards with a telegraph pole

6.Try Saying:Perhaps you should check with...
Instead Of:Tell someone who gives a f***.

7.Try Saying:I wasn't involved in the project.
Instead Of:Not my f***ing problem.

8.Try Saying:That's interesting.
Instead Of:What the f***?

9.Try Saying:I'm not sure this can be implemented within the given timescale..
Instead Of:No f***ing chance mate.

10.Try Saying:It will be tight, but I'll try to schedule it in
Instead Of:Why the f*** didn't you tell me that yesterday?

11.Try Saying:He's not familiar with the issues
Instead Of:He's got his head up his f***ing a*se.

12.Try Saying:Excuse me, sir?
Instead Of:Oi, f*** face.

13.Try Saying:Of course, I was only going to be at home anyway
Instead Of:Yeah, who needs f***ing holidays anyway.

The cutting Edge...

Well, Easter kinda came early for me this week...

Met Cuddle Bunny on Wednesday and we went out for dinner. We decided to grab some chicken from Nando's but it was a bad call....Cuddle Bunny cannot eat spicy food so she ordered lemon and herb chicken, and got spicy chicken, which kinda ruined it all. I do wonder why it is so difficult to listen and take note of instructions/requests.

After that, she asked me what I wanted for Easter (I don't do Easter Eggs as I am diabetic, people tend to buy me DVDs or CDs or other stuff) and I said to her I'd like a wrestling DVD, and so we went to HMV, and I showed her one DVD (I never got to show her the actual wrestling section, which had a selection!) and she grabbed it and that is my Easter present from her, wow!

So I have a few more DVDs to add to my collection...
  • Edge: A Decade Of Decadence - I almost bought this the other day, but Mel got me this, and all I can say is wow cheers hon! I have not watched this as yet, I will be waiting until Mel has said she has eaten all or some of her Easter egg.
  • Moulin Rouge - I have been looking out for this in SteelBook for quite a while now, and after watching Watchmen on Tuesday I thought I'd have a look in HMV and see if there was anything that might be of interest...and there it was! Not bad for £7 either.
  • John Cena: Word Life - I've been after this for a while now, but was adamant that I would not pay stupid prices for it. Last week on Play.com a PlayTrader was selling it for £5, that was good enough for me! This is a good companion to the My Life DVD set I got last weekend.
  • WWE Live In The UK November 2008 - Yup, as you can see this update is mainly wrestling DVDs!! This is a 2DVD set with the episodes of ECW, Raw and SmackDown that were recorded during the WWE November 2008 UK Tour. Some good matches on there, and all good fun.
  • TNA: The 50 Greatest Moments - Not really any fights from TNA Wrestling, but some of the highlights of some of the cool things that have happened from the start of TNA until 2006. I wonder if they will do another disc like that in the future?

I'm off to Newbury at the end of the month...well, me and Cuddle Bunny are anyway. Obviously Cuddle Bunny wants to do shopping (as you do) but I want to take some photos of the area, and kinda do a bit of exploring which should be fun. Hopefully I'll be better than when I went Christmas shopping there last year, I was rather unwell and kept throwing up, and rather embarrassingly projectile vomited outside the Woolworths! Hopefully it will be a good day, and of course more on that when it happens.

Before I go, anyone who is a Watchmen fan (and if you are not, why not?) may be interested that there are 2 companion DVDs that will go well with the movie (that I hope will be released in the Summer) and they are The Complete Motion Comic (yes, the animated graphic novel!!), and Tales of The Black Freighter (an animated story within the story). Add this to the Director's Cut of Watchmen that has been confirmed this is all good!

I could not believe my eyes...

I forgot to upload this earlier....

Well, I took a snap of this at my local Poundland, I do think that they need to use a better font for this, which is supposed to be an Easter GUMMIE Bag!

Dammit!!!

I cannot believe how much pain I'm in with my knees at the moment.
I was out on Saturday night and as I was walking up the slope to the old part of Basingstoke my knee just gave out and I have beenpretty much hobbling around ever since. I hate to say it, but I may soon have to invest in a walking cane...damn!

This is not the first time this has happened, and in some ways it is a semi-regular thing and due to some bastard who thought it would be nice to try and run me down with thier pickup because I refused to let them past without them showing thier ID pass first, the clipped my knee and I have had issues ever since...all good fun!

I'm just hoping this gets at least a little bit better for tomorrow, I'm supposed to be meeting Cuddle Bunny!

The weekend has been mental!

Whoa, the weekend has been totally nuts! I'm so glad that Sunday is classed as a day of rest!

The meal went well on Friday, again nerves were all over the place. We had a nice Italian meal, and it was good times, good conversation and good company...all good! Hopefully we will be meeting up again this week, maybe we will have a meal...but who knows?

I was supposed to watching Watchmen last night, but a few things got in the way, so I'm going later in the week.

Went to Andover shopping yesterday, got some good bits and bobs, and got 2 good DVDs for my collection (almost 3 but more on that later...) and they were as follows:
John Cena - My Life: Yup, yet another wrestling DVD set for the collection! 3DVDs about Cena, not bad either considering I got in in almost pristine condition from Andover CEX for a tenner!
The Simspons Season 6 In Homer Head Case - Yes!!!! At last! I have been after all the heads for a while, and again while in CEX Andover, I saw this and knew I had to get it, and at £16 for a brilliant condition set it's all good!

CEX did piss me off however, as I saw Season 7 of The Simpsons in the Marge Head case and I bought that at the same time, however for some reason I had a feeling I had to check the cases before I got on the bus home, and man it was a good job that I did as I found both cases were empty! So, I went to CEX and politely asked for the cases to have the discs in (as you do) and after all that they could not find the discs for Season 7 so they had to give me a refund...firstly why did they not check the case when they sold it to me (after all they checked the John Cena set), and secondly, how in the blue Hell did they lose the discs for the boxset? Looks like I'm the hunt for the other 4 Simpsons head sets.

Despite that though there was something that really brightened my day, it was truly the silver lining to the "cloud day".
I was sitting by the River Anton in andover, just basically chilling out and watching the birds on the water when a lady and her son (or I assume her son anyway, you just never know these days) went to one of the nearby benches. The lady handed her son a crust of bread to feed the ducks and geese there, and he lobbed it with all his might at this Canadian Goose, knocking the poor thing over! I'm so glad I didn't have a mouthful of anything, because it would have been all over anyone who passed by me! It was really funny and something I will not forget in a hurry.

Well, I guess I'll be hobbling off to do some bits and bobs...I'm hobbling as my knee has given out again (all good fun, the joys of some muppet trying to run me down several years ago when I was working security at the Vodafone HQ when it was being built..) which is great, as they say pain is a way of your body letting you know you are alive...guess pain is good then.

Well, 'til next time...

A meal, a scar and an accident...

Well, things have been kinda busy here for The Fat Bloke, so here is a general round up of what's been going on...

Charlie got run over by a car on Wednesday morning. She's ok, just bruises and scrapes really (maybe a little hurt pride) but she was very lucky the car was only travelling at 20mph, it could have been so much worse.
She crossed the road from behind a bus (not be best of ideas) and was in a panic because the school keep on saying she is late even though she gets to school 5 minutes early.
What did she learn? Pedestrians and cars on a road do not mix.

Went and saw mom yesterday, she seems to be doing well which is nice. She's alittle frustrated that she cannot do a lot of things like she used to, but after a major operation that is no big surprise, although I know how she feels as I felt the same after my heart operation when I was 18.

I bought the movie Scar and I watched the 3D version...and I think it was kinda ok (certainly a movie that you switch your brain off to) but I think it lacked depth. It's another DVD for the collection though...

I'm off for dinner tonight with Cuddle Bunny, nothing special as such, just some pasta or a pizza in Ask, but it's all good. It's been great catching up with her, I have missed her oh so much over the 10 years we had not spoke.

Well, that's all for now...I will try and update things a bit more regular though!

I did it because I can...

I have a question...maybe I have overlooked something obvious, but I need to ask it anyways even though I doubt I will ever get an answer that will help as such.

Why do people assume if you give them a gift or you do something for them that something is wanted in return? I really hate that. I like getting things for my friends and family, or sorting things out for them if I can and I'm always asked "so what do you want?" or "how much do I owe you?"
I do things for people because I can and because it helps or is a pleasant surprise, it's that simple. I do not expect anything...well maybe a thankyou, but that's enough for me....I'm not one of those people who does something for people so I get something in return (although it is sweet when they do, but I do not expect it).

Ah well, maybe it is just the way of the World these days...
